COVID-19 Vaccination Centers Can Be Found in These Community Areas in Chicago
The interactive map below displays the community areas in Chicago. In those community areas there are locations of vaccination centers where people can get vaccinated.

According to the City of Chicago Data Portal, there is at least one or a close by vaccination center in the community areas in Chicago. For example, in the Clearing community (highlighted in yellow) there is one vaccination center for anybody that lives near it. However, the downside to this is that for many people the vaccination center might be too far for them, so they might wait for another vaccination center to open near them.
As of right now, there are 109, 905, 530 doses of the vaccine in the United States. Out of those 109, 905, 530 doses, 82, 572, 848 doses have been administered.
There are three different types of vaccines. There’s the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine which is recommended for people who are 16 years and older. The CDC recommends people who are 18 and older to get vaccinated with the Moderna or the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
The first coronavirus (COVID-19)outbreak started in Wuhan, China and began to spread to other countries like the United States.
In the city of Chicago, there are five phases of lockdown. The first phase is a strict stay-at-home and only go out for essential activities.
The second phase is also a stay-at-home order, but it is less strict than the first phase. People can still go out for essentials, but they have to wear a mask at all times.
The third phase is where businesses start to open back up but not fully. Businesses can still operate, but it can only have a limited amount of people inside.
The fourth phase, which the city of Chicago is in right now, allows businesses to further reopen and allow more people inside the business.
Last but not least, the fifth phase is where some activities and events will resume safely.
