During a pandemic, it can get stressful with everything that is going on. Below are five ways to cope with stress during a pandemic.

Stress is a feeling of tension that is caused by events or thoughts that make you angry, upset, or nervous. There are two types of stress: acute and chronic stress.

Acute stress is short-term stress that helps us manage dangerous situations. It can also occur when something positive happens.

Chronic stress is long-term stress that occurs when you start having negative events or feelings. For example, you’re having money problems. This type of stress can last for weeks and months that you get used to it and don’t realize that it’s a problem.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, people should take breaks from social media since there is so much going on about the pandemic it can sometimes be overwhelming and cause stress. By taking a break, it can help your mind and body to feel relaxed and not have to constantly worry about the pandemic.

It is important to find healthy ways to cope with stress during this pandemic. As seen in the infographic above, there are five healthy ways to cope with stress.
